My film to digital process
There are various methods for digitizing film negatives, and one efficient method for me is DSLR Scanning. This method involves capturing photographs of developed negatives over a light box using a digital camera. In this case, the camera I used is a Fuji XT3 mirrorless camera, equipped with a 24-megapixel crop sensor, and a Voigtlander 40mm M-mount lenĀ used as a macro len. The use of two extension tubes (16mm and 10mm) enables me to achieve a 1:1 ratio and effectively utilize the entire sensor per 35mm frame. The resulting raw files are then imported into Lightroom Classic and processed using the Negative Labpro plugin to convert the negatives into positives. Finally, the images are fine-tuned to match the original film used, resulting in a high-quality digital representation of the negatives.
